I recently spent the better part of an afternoon discussing the implications of a single term with an Anishnawbe who spoke his language fluently. From my own experience, and this has been borne out through discussion with numerous other Native persons, I discovered that many of our family discussions around the kitchen table consisted of very sophisticated philosophical dialogues.
